I really liked the second one, the gritty story and settings. Great multiplayer, it was just too short.

Edit - Eidos themselves have said the series will continue, I guess we have to see.

Yeah, I know all the cool kids hate KL but this article below gives a good explanation of why KL2 was better. A lot of people only played the demo which isn't enough to see how the story unfolds.

Is this one going to be: Kane and Lynch: The Movie: The Game? Or did they give up on that movie?

The first game was great (yes yes, gamespot and all that, but the game itself as an interactive program that you play was quite the fun atmospheric ride), the second game was a big meh, so i'm wondering if K&L3 will go full on [insert generic TPS here]

Well I keep trying to like Kane and Lynch series so if I'm lucky this one will be great

Nope. Only care about Hitman news from IO. This only serves to sadden me that they're still wasting time with Kane & Lynch still. I'm quite honestly interested in seeing them trying something new that isn't either of those franchises.

They're working on Hitman: Absolution. They aren't saying much about it. Which is a shame. Because that's twenty times more interesting than any news about K&L.

Awesome, I guess I'm one of the minority for liking the game. Only played the second but the visual style was so striking and the pace so good that I loved it. Can't wait.

Why in the hell are they doing this, I thought they said they would making freedom fighters 2 after the crap known as the first kane and lynch? Why must they hate awesome ideas and do bad ones like no tommorrow!? WHY????

I liked the second game, I wish the multiplayer was still active.

I respect the K&L2; camera. I hate beyond belief and it makes me sick to play, but damn if that wasn't a ballsy idea.

I thought the second one looked really cool. I played the demo a few times, I just didn't think it was worth 60 bucks.

Im gonna be honest and say that I only came in here just so I could see if there were any good Jeff/Kane and Lynch jokes...

I hate to be THAT GUY, but there was actually no mention in the thing they quoted for being about K&L3. It could be a new IP for all we know, or it could be for hitman 5 (that would be the wrong decision but hey)

K&L 2 was so disappointing. The first wasn't too good, either.

Yeah, true. However the article did say the game would have big co-op elements, something KL has and the hitman series has not thus far. Also, I edited in the first post an article where the studio execs said the series will continue.

I liked K&L2. It looked really good, the story was batshit crazy and I like that, and it had the shooting of dudes. I'll play another.

I rather loved Kane and Lynch 2. The atmosphere of it really pulled me in. The was short and sweet, it was around 5 hours long, and for good reason: some of those last missions dragged on.

I really enjoyed it though. It really felt like two guys completely shit down on their luck are just trying to live through another night yet always mess things up. I loved it, and the level of detail in the environments was amazing. Co-op was pretty fun too, as was the arcade mode.

I didn't even play the first game past the mission where you are all of a sudden in a military game. Two times I tried to play through that game, both ended at that same spot.

Would you be interested in Kane and Lynch 3 if it starred Joe Kucan as Kane?

well this is news. i didn't think kane and lynch two did that great to have them a second one.

I just realized the third link I posted in the original post was incorrect, its the right one now. It just links to someones opinion on what the second game did well.

I loved what they TRIED to do with the second one but dear god, please let this franchise die already.

I'm intrigued. Both games had the potential but failed on it or just didn't deliver enough of it... it's still a bad sign that their two attempts still resulted in a puff of smoke, but it's the sheer possibility of what a K&L game could evolve into makes it hard not to get excited again for another. I actually really liked the characters for how unorthodox they are, and they make GTA protagonists look like Saints, and the ultra-gritty style of both games were immensely appealing. They got so close to making a pretty quality product with K&L2, but for whatever reason they got lazy? Budget restraints? Whatever the fuck happened, it really tore down what could of been something special.

I'm just hoping K&L3 can finally deliver on what they attempted with the first two.

The main issue with the first game was the shooting and squad mechanics felt off. They fixed that in the second game but it was too short.

Kane and Lynch continues to be the biggest disappointment in modern video games. I'm torn; I like the idea of there being more K&L out there but both games have been pretty bad. If they would take the time to make it properly rather than trying to be just another video game, IO could have something special on their hands. They won't.

More naked dudes and 2 hours campaigns. Yay.

Square-Enix rarely dumps a franchise. This should not surprise anyone.

Why do they even bother at this point? Furthermore, I didn't think it sold well enough.
