So Activision stock ( ATVI) is sitting at 10.81. Do you guys think that people are aware enough of the IW stuff for the stock price to be affected?

Nope. The money is in the name Call of Duty and World of Warcraft, not two dudes.

It'll take some time, and it will depend what ends up happening with IW (if half the teams bolts, for example) and how that news makes it's way to the "casual" MW2 player who doesn't really follow the news. The quality of the CoD games will suffer, that much is clear. If you don't think it will, you're fooling yourself.

From a pure market analyst perspective, it will likely go up at first. Stockholders will likely be happy that 2 vocal detractors of Activision have been replaced with "company men". It depends how the community reacts to the situation...

Give Activision some time to run Call of Duty into the ground Guitar Hero-style and their stock will drop some.
