Neither.  Joystiq is a poorly researched blogsite with youtube commenters while Kotaku is also a similarly poorly researched blogsite with youtube commenters that is so Japano-centric it borders on being reverse racism.  Both are awful.

I've been dropping by Kotaku less and less ever since I started visiting GiantBomb.
I do have them to thank for getting me into Focus Testing session with Gearbox, though.

Neither. I'll just come to giantbomb.com and see the articles transcribed by good ol' Braaad Nicholson.

Joystiq is a better site, hands down. Kotaku is good and I admire how they update their site for EVERYTHING but some of the writers... really, I can't stand them. They're TERRIBLE. Plus the comment section is enough to make any sane person want to pull their hair out in frustration.

Kotaku is a terrible site.  Poor journalism and bad community.
I'd still take it over Destructoid though.

I use Kotaku more. But just like using hookers I feel wrong and ultimately I'm part of the problem.

They're basically identical when it comes to news coverage, but I prefer the page layout of Joystiq over Kotaku.  Kotaku looks a little too cluttered.  I can read more on Joystiq without having to click the link.  Still, I spend equal time on both.

Kotaku's or any of Gawker's sites are horribly designed. I can't fucking stand looking at any of their sites. Thank god I can just read all their articles through my rss reader.
Joystiq knows how to make a nicely designed blog.
