I know it's $150 in the US but come on that's around £100 to us. That's bullshit.

I guess you have to allow for higher taxes. But yeh, I could spend £130 on way better things than what KInect has to offer.

That's almost 200 American dollars. That seems like a lot. I know I wouldn't pay for it, but there are a dozen other things that I need to buy first.

I had a mini rant about this on twitter earlier. £130 is ridiculous and, like many other people, I'm not convinced by it at all (to be honest, I'm not fussed about Move either but at least that's £35 to get started and not the price we pretty much pay for a Wii ¬¬).
IMO, this motion control nonsense needs to stop. I just want to relax when playing a game, not shouting at a stupid camera for not measuring my movement perfectly. blahblah /rant

That's a lot more that I would be willing to pay for some that I doubt will get used much.

When you consider the VAT we pay, and the extra costs incurred with shipping the units to us, we're paying no more than £10 more to Microsoft than the US market is. And when you take into account that the average Brit earns quite a lot more than the average American, it's not really that much "bullshit".

I'm still not buying one. I don't have the money, and even if I did, I haven't been overly interested in many of the games natal has to offer, but the price compared to the US price isn't as bad as it first seems.

That's basically the price of four newly released games. So the question is do you want four new games or some mini games and a device that will allow you buy  games with which to use it? I know which option I'd go for.

Could be worse, they could have priced it at £150 to coincide with the $150 and €150 prices in those respective regions.

Still the product itself doesn't seem worth the price given what we know from E3. The £130 for what is being offered doesn't feel justified, there doesn't seem to be any real games on Kinect in comparison to the Wii and what Move will eventually release with.

On the other hand, you get to live in Canada, which is ten times more awesome than the Us or the Uk :-)

Wow, that's so expensive...Upwards of US$200? Ouch. I'm beginning to think that Kinect is gonna be X360S only, the way it looks. But why do I care? Motion control sucks.

How is it?

They don't just go "oh we'll just convert the price in GBP", no company has ever done that. I know for a fact that companies have gone "it's $150 in the US, fuck it let's make it £150"
It's not that bad a price...

(not that i'll be buying it anyway)
