Last night i put in "Enslaved : Odyssey.."

and euhm, there's nothing to it, is anyone with me on this? the platforming's contrived, the game looks pretty horrible if you leave out the facial animation, the camera is irritating, i'm at chapter 5, i wanna stop playing. or is it really worth seeing through?

I felt the same way. It felt disappointing and janky. I just stopped playing it and moved over to Alan Wake instead. The camera has killed me more times than the enemies in this game

I also just put it in and am just somewhere in Chapter 2, but so far I'm quite enjoying it. I like the atmosphere and just hope, that the game holds up ;-)

I thought it was a great game, but I can understand other people not liking it as much. I really liked the setting and the story, and I thought the art design was top-notch, but the gameplay itself is kinda "meh."
 
The ending is cool. Contrived, but cool.

I thought the ending was bad(I'm with Vinny on this). It's.... I don't know. I just thought it was bad and it's hard to explain.
 
But apparently some people love it. You should try for yourself and see.

Same here. I played around 4 hours in my first session and haven't played it in since. The story seems interesting enough and I'd like to see Pigsy (had no idea he existed till the Bombcast mentioned him),  but I'm not having fun. The framerate (on the PS3 version at least) is shocking at times, and it feels like a grind. 
 
If I get one of my friends to play my copy I'll gladly watch the end though.

I played it all the way through and loved it. For me, it captured my interest right away and I thought the visual design of the world was spectacular. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I enjoyed it.

I really liked it. Well, parts of it. The combat is shallow and the camera can be a pain, but the characters feel real and the story is great.

I liked it alot also.  I won't defend the ending, however, it's pretty wack.  I agree with DeF, if you are not liking, move on. 

I thought it was ok, though about halfway through I lost interest; the Cloud parts were cool.

I loved it. felt like a lite prince of persia game
