Here is a thread to list things that sell for more than 15$ that people buy all the time and that are worse purchases than Braid

- A meal for two at a cheap restaurant
- 3 drinks at a bar
- A few packs of cigarettes
- A few gallons of gas
- A Gamespot subscription
- Any new release on DVD
- One month subscription to World of Warcraft
- Any game in the Petz series
- A case of beer (don't get me wrong I love beer but it doesn't last very long)
- An evening at the movies (with a girl doesn't count)

Braid gives a lasting experience, much like reading a great novel or watching a great movie. It makes you think and challenges the conventions of gaming.

A case of beer gives you a buzz for a few hours, just like any other case of beer.

It's the singularity of the experience that matters and how rewarding and challenging it is.

Yeah I'd rather buy a 12 pack and a good meal.

That's a more satisfying experience.

Threads covering the topic of more than one game or more than one system (or both), fit into general.  Also, general topics should go in general.  Hardest game you've ever played, your favorite beat 'em up, are games today are too sexualized, things like that.  If EVERYTHING was posted in the general forum, it would move way too fast be too hard to find topics about specific games.  That's the point of having a forum for every game, and every game series.  Why else do you think the staff set things up this way?
