London Philharmonic Orchestra to Release a Video Game Album

The London Philharmonic Orchestra is about to release an album based on 21 video game songs. It will be available on November 8th and the track listing has been revealed through Amazon. Album Art and Track Listing below.

So what do you guys think? Good selection? Terrible selection? Would you switch any tracks for other songs from other games?

I always associate the Battlefield music with Battlefield 1942 rather than BF2.

why is the cover like battlefield 3 ? they could have done a better job with that.

Pretty bitchin'. I'm probably going to pick this up just for the London Philharmonic doing Liberi Fatali.

Setting aside the mediocre cover art and having an Angry Birds song, I am OK with this.

I'm glad to see One Final Effort getting some recognition as opposed to do the Halo theme for the 900th time.

That's a pretty cool idea, though I'm surprised "Soviet Connection" was considered orchestral enough.

I was excited until I saw Angry Birds, though I could go for listening to the MGS2 theme again.

Personally, I'm really excited to hear Muse. Advent Rising may not have been a really great game, but the music in it was stellar. You can also listen to the Modern Warfare 2 track here if you'd like.

So pretty similar to every other orchestra's album of video game music. Don't get me wrong, it's cool that orchestra's are doing these things, but I'm pretty sure I already have all of those songs (well, the ones I care about, anyway) from various other orchestra's.

The LPO have done a bunch of cover albums. Games are cool and all but it is going to be hard to beat the punk album they did.

I went to this, it was cool.
