God of war 3, Battlefield bad co 2, Yakuza 3
March 2010 - Game Releases Are Insanely Stacked - What's Your Number One Game This March?
Definitely God Of War 3 for me. Without a doubt; playing the Collection has just got me even more hyped.
Definitely super interested in Just Cause 2, Yakuza 3, and lastly Final Fantasy XIII -- although I have least hype for the latter as I'm not a hardcore FF follower. Will deffo play it though.
But yeah, voted for God Of War 3, honourable mention Just Cause 2 and Yakuza 3.
Isn't Bad Company 2 due in February? -- If it's March then I'm in on that too.
Looking at that list actually, I feel a bit sorry for Just Cause 2. Early trailers look REALLY impressive, a lot of fun, but I just can't see it standing up next to all those heavy hitters which sucks.
Also, SEGA should put Yakuza 3 into April. It's not like that game isn't done or anything. I'm all for having the game as early as possible, but they're just committing suicide in that window. Which is a shame, because poor sales will lead to us sweating all over again on Yakuza 4. I'm sure they don't have "insane" expectations for it or anything, but, that window is the worst place for it.
I'm quite interested in Red Steel 2 aswell actually. Is it all MotionPlus?
Gah, it is a crazy month isn't it?
I honestly haven't decided yet. A week ago, I would have said Final Fantasy XIII in a heartbeat, but after reading the very extensive hands-on over on Kotaku, I'm not sure what to think about that one anymore. Battlefield Bad Company 2 looks great but I barely play MW2 online, so that, like the first, will wind up a rental for the single-player experience. I might go God of War 3, but I'm not too sure. It's going to have to differentiate itself from the prior two installments for me to really commit. As it stands right now, it looks like more of what's been done. We shall see. And that leaves, Yakuza 3. Honestly, this one stands the best chance of finding a home on my gaming shelf. The first screens I saw of this game years ago made me sit up and take notice, and now that it is finally getting a Western release, I am very excited. So, that's my answer for today, but this may all change as March actually rolls around.
If I could select two I think I'd put Metro 2033 as my second. Haven't seen much of it though so I might pay attention to something else instead.
Just Cause 2 is the one I'm definately most interested in, at least in March.
Bad Company 2 and God of War 3 are both up there, though. Maybe I'll start getting more hyped up for God of War 3 as we get closer.
Metro 2033, Ruse, C&C 4, Yakuza 3; all games I'm keeping an eye on.
My hype for FF13 has definately died. I'll probably end up getting it, though.
Why does no one seem to care about Final Fantasy XIII anymore? I mean, I appreciate it's winning the poll, but posts are very negative.
A few games I'm really looking forward to, Just Cause 2, Bad Company 2, and Yakuza 3 (possibly if it's more fun to play than the last Yakuza game I played), but God of War III is on another level. Big fan of the series and can't wait for that one.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who do but idk if the western market gets up for Final Fantasy like they used to. I've checked out every FF game to come out since VII and I have literally no interest in the new one. I'll just stick with my western RPGs and some of the more interesting Japanese ones (stuff like Demon's Souls) that is until the Versus game comes out, that I am looking forward to.
I put FFXlll, not because it will probably be my favourite game on that list, but because of all the negativity mixed in with the hype. With the growing sentiment of japanese games being "behind the times" in the years since the last proper FF, I'm really interested to see how this game fairs in the most interesting environment around what is usually a predictable release.
I'm not too excited about march, and I see nothing on that list that I'm really looking forward to.
I've never been into Battlefield's gameplay style, I always find it irritating that you get shellshocked everytime an explosive goes off.
Metro 2033 looks quite promising, I love the whole post-apocalyptic atmosphere in games, but haven't seen enough of this one to make a decision.
However, at the end of April, Red Dead Redemption comes out, that's going to be awesome.
" Why does no one seem to care about Final Fantasy XIII anymore? I mean, I appreciate it's winning the poll, but posts are very negative. "I was a huge Final Fantasy fan, ever since a friend of mine imported Final Fantasy 3 (US) aka Final Fantasy 6 for the SNES back in the day. He didn't get into it, so I had it all for myself and later bought it off him. Every Final Fantasy game since then was a disappointment. None was better than Final Fantasy 6.
I'm gonna end up buying Final Fantasy XIII from the bargain bin, hoping it will recreate the magic I felt so long ago playing Final Fantasy 6, but I'm not gonna put down full price for a slim chance like that. Classic JRPGs are a guilty pleasure at most nowadays. I don't take the genre seriously anymore. Between western RPGs and MMOs, the classic turnbased singleplayer JRPG just seems so outdated - no matter how marvelous it's presented.
I'm quite surprised how well it's doing in the poll. I thought it was less popular nowadays.
