There not even close to being alike to compare one's an 30 hour choose your own adventure RPG, the other is a balls to the wall cinematic game, I don't get it.
What are they going to do next compare GOW III to Splinter Cell Conviction
I always hate flame wars about which game was better... they're all great games... the real shame is exclusivity rights that prevent me from playing both games

Anyway, they're comparing two totally different games. If I were to pick which one would be most memorable and enjoybale it would definitely have to go to ME2 because of the replayability factor. I spent over 100 hours so far in the game (Just beat Insanity tonight!) and Uncharted 2 took me a little over a measly 10 hours. Comparing a game like Mass Effect 2 to Uncharted 2 isn't fair because the world is so fleshed out, it has history, cultures, so many people to talk to, decisions to make, etc.
@rjayb89: I'm fascinated buy this, cause I played the Batman demo and absolutely... well not hated, but didn't think much of it at all?.. Both Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 are my favourite games of (pretty much all time)... I prefer Mass Effect because it's more suited to my tastes, but I really should give Batman another try cause everyone keeps going on about it.

I said you can't compare a game that has so much content like Mass Effect 2 to such a linear game like Uncharted 2 because of the reasons I mentioned. I wasn't comparing. A comparison would be: Mass Effect 2 is much better because it's longer and more filled out, whereas Uncharted 2 is like walking in a straight line. What I said was, you can't compare the two because Uncharted 2 is a very linear game, qualities which the two games don't share. Hence them being different types of games, durr.

Notice he said RPG wise. So maybe the RPG elements of the game are done better in the first one. Maybe he feels the shooter sections are equally as good in both. So think next time before you make yourself look like a prick.

I believe that what made ME1 a strange (but excellent) game was the vast imbalance between the shooting and the RPG - the RPG section was done extremely well, while the shooting section definitely needed some polish. However, with the game being a hybrid, having an imbalance like I mentioned is kind of going against it's hybrid nature. Which means that the RPG elements of the first game kind of spoiled the other sections not being up to the ante. Balancing them out in ME2 helped the game as a whole.
I'm quite sure he hasn't played anything that isn't on the Playstation.
But yes, stupid arguement as a whole and a very obvious attempt to get hits by angering fanboys. Almost as stupid as people trying to claim Mass Effect 2 isn't an RPG because they removed the weapon specialisations..
