Russ "the bus" Bullock just showed off footage of a new in development mechwarrior game. Supposed to be single player focused "single point of purchase" game. MWO is apparently going to continue as the multiplayer mechwarrior title.

I was thinking more of MW4 where they had live actors. It's probably my least favorite game in the series, but the intro is amazing:
This is great news! I was always much more about the singleplayer than the multiplayer for these games.
Same. Nice to see a singleplayer one.
Hopefully it's a good game and it sells well.
@tennmuerti: Considering we have until 2018 I think we can be cautiously optimistic no?
@fisk0: that looks dumb and great but honestly havent played much of mw4. :( im a heathen i know.
i mainly have wuch a big nostalgia-on for mw2, particularly for that intro which blew me away back in the day and playing the hell out of the pc gamer demo for it. i'm looking forward to great things regardless!
I don't know after seeing how Piranha handled MWO with its horrible optimization, fixing technical issues, in game menu/ui , game balance, rather bad maps and just grossly feeding off people's nostalgia. I feel extremely wary about this and I predict they're going push release date back further. They will instead just offer more "founder" packages like MWO since that was in "beta" for more than two years.
The only good thing coming out of this is they're sharing assets with Harebrained Studios for their Battletech game, which is bound to be good.
