Michael Atkinson, that wacky South Australia Attorney General who thinks all gamers are children who need to be shielded from distressing material, apparently had a threatening note from a gamer slipped under his door. Atkinson was also involved in introducing laws to outlaw motorcycle gangs in SA. The conclusion he's drawn from this single note? All gamers are to be feared more than a bunch of dudes covered in tattoos and riding motorbikes. Not that he's drawing a long bow to aid his current hyperbole-fuelled crusade.

Also I'm sure if he treated Biker gangs the same way he treats gamers they wouldn't just slip a note under his door. They might slip some gasoline under it and set his house on fire though.

@mrfizzy: Oh, I agree. Whoever did it (if, indeed, there ever was a note) was not helping the cause. But at the same time Atkinson's overwrought, melodramatic and calculated response would be laughable, were his words not to hold such mysterious powers.
I love this guy, He needs his own talk show, A loudmouth zealot with overblown ideals and no concept of what happens in real life. Shouldn't he be sitting beside Rush Limbaugh?

While I agree it was stupid (if true at all), it's nothing more than circumstantial at best and definitely nothing unusal in terms of this incendiary comments regarding gamers as 'criminal scum' and 'worse than bikies'. He dishes it out but isn't willing to take it.
