Now since that there has been a nintendo hanheld ( DS ) and a Sony handheld ( PSP ) were is Microsoft in all of this. Microsoft could make halo on a handheld and they could make microsoft boost up.

Why do you think that Microsoft hasent made a handheld yet? Do you think they should make one?

Microsoft has said that they don't want to get involved in the portable market, but if they made one, I'd be all over it.

there was speculation on something i read about this, however i think they want to focus on the main console systems rather than commit to more than one system.

It's called Zune. Development tools for it are available already.

A Microsoft handheld would be awesome but I doubt it will be very successful.

Anyone trying to bring out a handheld gaming system at the moment will be crushed by nintendo, it would be a bad idea.

It would be hard to compete with the DS or any Nintendo handheld for that matter, but I still wouldn't be shocked to see one a couple of years down the line.

Hmm, I think they can make great games on it! Although it would be better to compare it to the iPhone opposed to DS and PSP..
Personally, I think that MS will not enter the mobile gaming makret any further than this.

Here, take a look:

Don't think they'll be doing a handheld anytime soon. Probably not.

It'd be a hard market for them to do well in since the PSP and DS have already been out for years. Stay with the 360 and spend the time and money on that.

I'm sure Microsoft said that there not going to make any handhelds anytime soon. Although if they did make one they have to make it work with 90% of XBLA games.

If MS is going to do anything, I think it would be in conjunction with the Zune.  I think it'd probably be closer to a media player / cell phone / camera, etc. than just a portable game system.

But I think that MS needs to cement itself in the console market before they start competing with the DS and PSP.

If Microsoft were going to go into the handheld market it'd have an incredibly hard time because Nintendo dominate the entire field so far, the PSP has made quite a good effort but I don't think it will ever usurp the DS's throne.

PSP's main following is in Japan, which is a market microsoft has a tiny part in. Microsoft may have a larger following in America but I still think a handheld would be a tough sell for them.

I think it is a bad idea. The DS sells so many units I dont think a MS handheld would even compare.
