Jesus, as if the local gaming industry hasn't taken enough blows in the last year or so...

Looks like some morons have gotten it into their heads that because MMO's aren't strictly rated by the governing bodies that they should be made illegal.

Censorship in this country is getting worse by the minute.

Thank God.

I don;t play MMO's (don't have the time or the hardware for it) but I'd hate to see another section of the video game market get trampled by these idiots.

As far as the issue, too many people in this country working jobs where they obviously dont have enough meaningfulwork  to keep busy with. Fukcing Ignorant Beurocrats.

Oh man, we had enough problems with Michael 'All games are bad' Atkinson.   Now this?  Things just keep getting better for us Aussies.  Truth betold, I'm far more concerned with 'F.E.A.R 2:Project Origin'.  last I heard, the game was refused classification.  I want that game, but I'd prefer an un-censored version.

Kotaku are a fucking joke, no one should take any of their stories seriously anyway, besides the ones they just copy/paste from other places.

You seem a little confused.  That was a movie about a house falling on a witch. ;)

Rockband was about $250 (US $165) and GuitarHero was more expensive at $320 (US $210).  I picked up Guitar Heero before christmas for $250 on promotion and couldn't be happier because work gave me a store voucher of $300 as a slaes bonus.
Australia is always more expensive.  Most of it is not about our taxes as many assume, it is more about what companies think that they can get on top of being a small population of 20 million in a land mass not far off America.  This makes distribution costs higher.  When we had currency parity with the US dollar, importing was a blast as there is no taxes to import pushing up the end price.  Sadly we are now at 65 cents to the US dollar.
