They were working on a Racing project before they were shut down according to Chris Davie an ex Bizzare Creations developer http://chrisdavie.tumblr.com/post/39865111827/brighton-storm-prototype-this-is-part-of-a here is the video of the prototype on his tumbler blog.
More sad news about the closure of Bizarre Creations
I thought pretty much everyone got hired by the Forza team anyway. And that game looks exactly like Blur, must be a sequel.

Who got what IP? Because i would like to see further evolution In Geometry Wars.
I'd assume sine they were owned by Craptivision then they would be the owners of the IP.
Looking at the Wiki page it seems first one was published by MS Studios and the second one got published under the Activision brand.

Activision also released the iOS, Wii, and DS versions so Activision owns the franchise and will sit on it indefinitely. Doesn't matter though because YOU CANT IMPROVE PERFECTION.
I saw this on a "popular internet message board" yesterday and this makes me sad. I was not a super fan of blur. I enjoyed what I played, but was a much bigger fan of MSR/PGR and Geometry Wars. I also want to get on that 007 Bloodstone, but I always see it hovering around the $29.99 mark where I only want to really pay $10-15 just to try it.
We took tech and assets from Blur, and used them to try out some new ideas.

I believe I read that the prototype uses assets directly from Blur as placeholders.
It also said they were overhauling Shunt. That's a Blur specific powerup. There would be little point in doing that if it wasn't for a Blur sequel or at least a very similarly playing game.
Blur and Geometry Wars were pretty awesome. Geometry Wars way more so, though.
Still, would've been interested in a Blur 2. Sad we'll never see it.
I would like Turn 10 & Playground make a new racing game series. Something that could allow them to stagger the releases of Forza games more, and is more arcade/mario kartish.
Here's footage of the very last thing they worked on, despite knowing they were closing. The level is set in Dubai, and for an alpha build it looks fantastic: http://chrisdavie.tumblr.com/post/39869032056/dubai-this-was-the-final-thing-being-worked-on-at
