@BamurDeadd: I'd say 4 or 5 is probably about right. If you wanted to dash through it probably less, but it's not that kind of game. You want to take your time :D
Oh come on. Dark Souls is %100 about the journey. The ending sucks. It's nothing. lol
I think you haven't understood what i'm saying. The ending of Dark Souls is indeed terrible but it can be classed as the most satisfying, as when I watched it, it meant I had completed Dark Souls, now that's satisfying.
I really like Mass Effect 1's ending a lot. That moment Shepard crawls out of the rubble to realize how bad-ass she is, just made me feel awesome about that character.

Yes, I get what you are saying now. I actually agree with you then.
You find out you were playing the entire game as a Dian Parkinson-esque blonde with a fucking power suit, my adolescent brain was blown when I saw that ending. (I played Super Metroid before Metroid despite owning an NES at the time).
Portal 2. The final boss battle did a great job of combining all the puzzle mechanics from previous chapters into a single battle. I didn't find the battle too frustrating and it had good pacing because it was segmented into parts. It felt both old school and new at the same time. Narratively the conclusion to the "story" was amazing and produced a hopeful ending that contrasted the end of the world dirge that the entire game had. It also had one of the great "oh fuck, no you just didn't" moments I ever experienced.
Yup, I was going to come in and probably post Portal 2 for those reasons. The last shot with the portal gun was probably my favorite "holy shit, they did not just do that" moments. =P

MGS4 hands down fighting through all the series final bosses with all their theme is amazing and anyone who says it was a cop out is an idiot. Nuff said.

Dragon's Dogma
blew my mind man, that was epic.
after that maybe the original Metroid, nobody at the time thought Samus was a woman. Seems like a "meh" thing today, but back then everyone I knew was determined to see it since it was believed to be an urban legend.
Mass Effect 2's ending had a lot of satisfying moments in it. Pretty much the whole suicide mission if done correctly is full of "Fuck Yeah!"s your first time around.

@LikeaSsur:
Yes! I totally agree with you. The Synthesis ending with the extended cut installed, is the most satisfying ending I have experienced in quite some time (the last year or two, to be precise).

This is the best ending to movie, music, game or any entertainment medium:
Damn, i was just about to post this. Snake Eater has such an awesome ending both gameplay and story wise. There's just something about fighting a giant mech/tank while you're escaping in a motorcycle and then going toe-to-toe with the fucking Boss.

Red Dead Redemption for me too please.
I've probably never been as satisfied with the way a game has ended before or since.
Came here just to say that. It's been awhile so I forget a bit but I think the part specifically where you're riding the horse and the music is playing over the rest (although the barn scene plus scene after the game opens up again is amazing as well). One of those endings where they keep hitting with strong moment after strong moment.
