Dude, I know. I loved that game. Even the opening movie thing whenever the game started up is awesome, I watched that alone like 50 times. And there are so many mods for it! It's insane! And some of them are really great.
And besides the mod, the game itself is just awesome. The story is great, I love that game. Good God do I love that game.
I'm more of a Privateer man myself, but I loved Freelancer too. I miss the genre so much. X2 is just too slow paced and not much fun.
What would an awesome developer do with something like this. I could only start to imagine how awesome a Blizzard made Space Combat/Trade Sim/RPG could be. Maybe even an MMORPG going that way.
@guiseppe: I second that, got it for the PS3 for 5 euros and it did not disappoint. Sure, it might not be the best graphical wonderpiece you will encounter, but the story certainly kept me going.
Tombi! Created by the mind behind Mega man and Ghouls n' Goblins, this game had everything I want from a game... Fun, atmosphere, great music, great artstyle, great characters and a great world

The most recent Prince of Persia. People seemed to be really turned off my its forgiving nature, and although I see that as a minor blemish, I think that the beauty of the game, the characters and the brilliant level design easily make up for this. And although their are some odd design choices present in the game, I think the open world design and the ability to play through areas in the order you want is genius.
@Seppli: Oh, god yes! Battlefield: Bad Company was the first shooter I got when I purchased my PS3, and I put in at least 70 some-odd hours into the multiplayer (which is a ton for me- I don't play games for more than 20 hours usually). So addicting.
I usually throw out a couple of PSP gems whenever this question is asked, so here I am, parlaying the qualities of the stellar puzzler Crush and the awesomely awesome shooter Chili Con Carnage.
@Laticsfan: Not really, Freedom Fighters reviewed really well but no one bought it. Don't forget this is EA were talking about, if it had sold even moderately do you really think they wouldn't have demanded at least 3 sequels by now?
