that was some good stuff right there.
I can't believe you did that all from memory man, that was impressive!
@jimbo: This is a simplified version I threw together. We keep our instruments tuned half a step down, so if you're playing it in standard and want to keep it in the same key for whatever reason, just transcribe it half a step up.
I don't have my guitar around right now, but that should be right. Thanks again, folks!
Thanks!
Thanks everyone for the positive comments! It's great to hear that so many people appreciate this. I'm the little drummer boy on this track, btw. As ColdPhone pointed out, it kind of came together at the last minute, but it felt great to do.
Rock on, Ryan! ROCK THE FUCKSHIT ON!
@johnny_goober: Welcome to the forums duder - and as a fellow drummer great work at such short notice.
Cheers for the effort by all 3 of you there x
You say it doesn't do him justice but it's far from being underwhelming. Great job guys! So glad you did that in his honor.
@coldphone: Hey dude do you have a link where I can check out more of your stuff? My google-fu is failing me. I'm assuming you're not the Fox from the UK.
@thesoutherndandy: Yeah, here are a few links:

www.youtube.com/foxtheband
foxtheband.bandcamp.com
Thank you all for the new compliments.
Considering how much Ryan loved melodic rock (Jean Baudin) and Bombcast remixes, I think he would have dug this.

OP says it all. Not my creation.

@coldphone: Fox forever, incredibly well done Carmen.
@omegapirate: Thanks! I've been a GiantBomb fan for quite awhile, but just as one of those CRAZY lurkers. Happy to finally jump in the forums, even if it's under tragic circumstances...
@bigjeffrey: Thanks for posting the track by itself. Appreciate the effort in splitting that up! I actually got my hands today on (IMO) a slightly better sounding recording of the show. It has a little bit fuller bass and less-harsh of an upper-frequency range. I'll post it here for anyone interested in checking it out or downloading.

Thank you for doing this. I can imagine th GB gang sitting around vibing out to this mellow thought provoking melody.
this is some sick ass fucking music, though I can't tell the lyrics or see how this is a tribute to RTD

It does sound better but is it a bit panned to the right?
Polish that up, make it 30 seconds, new Podcast theme.
I support this so much.
@jouseldelka: Thanks! If you play the embedded video, it's linked to an instrumental rendition of the Giant Bombcast theme that we played as a tribute.
Thanks, @jakethesnakeyea! It took me a second to realize who you are, haha. Really appreciate it!
@bigjeffrey: Thanks for doing that!
@themasterds: That would be really cool. I'm sure we could record something like that. Flattering that you think it'd be good enough for that!
Thanks again to all of you!

As far as I know, it shouldn't be. The mix might be slightly different because it was coming from a different source. But, I can't really say for certain, because we didn't really have anything to do with the mix or quality of the recording; it was just what was given to us by the guys running sound in the WIDR studio. We pretty much just crammed a bunch of instruments and amps in one small room and waited for the on-air DJ to say "Go!". That was about the full-extent of our input on the matter.
