Here's my opinion:
If you are offended by and make a big deal about words, I do not like you. I don't care how offensive it is to you. We fundamentally are incompatible and have nothing in common, if you are going to complain about someone using a word, or are hurt by it. That's all there is to it.

Empathy is overrated anyways.

I don't care to coddle people who are offended by words and make a big deal about it. If some guy says "Oh man, that latest episode of jersey shore was so gay", and some other guy crys about how offensive that is, I do not like him. He is weak, and a weiner. Same applies to basically every other word people whine about. I have empathy. But that empathy goes towards people who don't get to eat every night, or have diseases. Not for people who whine about someone using a word in a derogatory manner.
I think spock replaces Jay444111 as the retardedly amazing user considering Jay hasnt posted in a while. And yes, I will refer to him as spock.@the_OFFICIAL_jAPanese_teaBAG: Yeah, I was rather surprised, as well. I mean, it's kind of crazy how a thread can start so "Why can't everyone just get along and dance in a field of flowers?" and become "Bullying is just nature working its magic imo".
People don't have a right to not be offended. Then again, as a responsible human being, if you know somebody takes a word or something a certain way, it's reasonable to expect you to be respectful of that.

Dude, how the fuck did you describe my exact thoughts on this matter...?
Impressive.

That double negative is your first sentence is confusing the fuck outta me. WHAT DO YOU MEAN!!!!!???
Guys I think we're all forgetting the real important manner here. Why the hell do dogs have cold noses?!

It's pretty simple. People do not have a right to not be offended. A single person can't say "I was offended by that" and expect the world to cater to their sensibilities just because they were offended by it. Staying in a non-offensive environment is simply not a basic human right that is expected, or even should be expected.
You know what else was bad? The holocaust. Nazism was also pretty bad. People should stop being bad.
Now, I've been looking into purchasing the Stanley 87-369 8-Inch Adjustable Wrench for some low-impact plumbing work, and I was wondering if anyone has used this particular model, or had any insight. I need to clean out my u-trap, and since I'm heading by Lowe's to pick up some WD-40 anyway, I figured I might as well ask.

Ah okay, I am in agreement actually. I also have a forming opinion on this controversy surrounding the Ryan and forum rule thing, but it's just gotten so silly and butthurt that it feels like a colossal waste of time. To sum it up in a sentence. Slurs by themselves are not bad, it's the context that matters. There is nothing that can sway me otherwise.

Crescent wrenches PISS ME OFF! I am offended. Their very existence offends me. They're usually made of weak-ass cast scrap pot metal just riddled with voids. The adjustment screw is loose and sloppy. It only applies torque to two edges of the bolt head unlike a box-end wrench of the correct size. They are always rusty because they've been sitting in a shitty cardboard box below a leaky sink for 4 years because the people who actually buy these abominations are helpless idiots who never do anything for themselves anyway so why buy good tools they know they won't use?

I swear I saw a post from Jay a few days ago, but maybe I'm thinking of someone else saying something horribly odd.
Thank you for telling us the politically correct thing.

I stopped reading after that. Apparently you have no idea what racism actually is.
This is a very good example of opportunist hipster nihilism. The user makes a short blank statement specifically designed to lower the user while making some form of indication "they know" the real truth of the world to appear "cool" and "important". Not just to other people but to reassure themselfs. This is very bad I feel.
That just made my mind go blank for a solid 2 minutes.
Also paranting advice from a random stranger on the internet with no kids, YAY!

Well, since you mention it, I must admit I used to think nothing was worth it before there was anything at all. But then Nietszche became too mainstream.

More people need to know about Opportunist hipster nihilism, but that in itself creates a paradox, as it is no longer hipster if we spread the word about it.
Truly, WAYCSpock is a master of enigmas and paradoxes, such a gifted, talented and twisted mind!
