Name this game!

ran across this in another forum, i can't think of the name, anyone know this?

"Hi i am looking for a game i used to play where you were a space smuggler and you could travel to all differant galaxies, there were pirates and navys and transported things like comodities it was mid 90's like 95-98 but you were a free lance pilot and there was a navy and everything. You smuggled things like porn and drugs and all that stuff you could upgrade the ship and defend it in real battle scenes, please help me out"

Sounds a lot like Privateer. Can't remember if you could smuggle drugs and porn though...

I find it hard to believe there was ever such a game.
