Nanako or Clementine?

Upon playing some of Persona 4: Arena, I remembered how great of a character Nanako is. She pulls off the tricky balance of being smart and interesting while still being very much a child. She's a character that you want to protect, especially as Persona 4 goes on. The same can be said of Clementine in the Walking Dead, although the increased emphasis on choice in Telltale's game makes the relationship a bit more complicated.

Which character do you care more about protecting? I am also just now realizing how kinda-sorta creepy this poll sounds. Sorry. I really don't mean it.

I like Nanako more because she sings, and is somehow more pitiful than Clementine, despite the latter being in a Zombie apocalypse.

I haven't seen enough of clementine to compare her to Nanako. I'll make my decision when the walking dead game is finished. But for now definitely Nanako.

I was actually thinking about making a list of adorable but legitimately wonderful children characters but these were the only two I could think of.

I think its too early to put Clementine on here as her arch isn't over yet. Her character can still suck if the writers make it so. So I'll go with the safe pick of Nanako.

My answer is so obvious I'll smack you if you got it wrong. I never played any Persona game so I wouldn't know about this “Nanako”. Also, don't quote/reply to me with a stupid answer to this poll!!!!

Nanako, because she's not just there to be cute and innocent. She's actually really mature and can fend for herself, even though she's a bit tormented because of her family situation.

Clementine's cool too.

Clementine. I love Persona 4 but I wasn't all "Oh god, why?!" all that much by what happened to Nanako. However, I will lose my mind if something happens to Clementine in the Walking Dead.

Yeah, having only seen one episode of Walking Dead because the fucker won't start any more thanks to the game being totally broken (thanks, Telltale), I think Clem sucks. She had few lines, and most were a little too "generic scared girl." And the "When a horse...plops?" line just stood out like a sore, awkward thumb to me. I generally felt she was a weak part of that first episode.

I've never played P4 so I'll say Clementine.

Shit. I already have too many Persona 4 videos in my favorites, and this doesn't help things.

Naniko is a more rounded characture, that might just be because of the characture her self, or because in persona 4 you had 100 hours to devolup that characture.

Nanako is a great character, but Clementine by a mile. I never felt the emotional pull I get from Clementine from Nanako. Having to make lasting decisions that will impact her positively or negatively plays a part in that, where in Persona 4 you're really just going through the story and are going to try to complete her social link no matter what else happens.

Edit: Plus with Clementine it's more of a Father-Daughter relationship than a Brother-Sister one, which is just a stronger setup for me overall.

Spent more time getting to know Nanako and Dojima so it's kind of no contest. Clementine could be a good character but they just won't give her any lines.

Fuck this. I was mislead. I thought we were talking about Clementine.

Nanako of course she's the best kid character ever, well I don't remember too many children in videogames other than those kids in Fallout 3 and people hate them so much that they made mods to murder them.

Clementine. I love Persona 4, but Clementine is kind of the glue holding me to The Walking Dead, whereas I think Nanako is depressing and a little annoying. Although she's also a whole lot more independent... but still, I like The Walking Dead video game more than the TV show, and a big part of that is Clementine.

Tough one, I still might wait until episode 5 is out.
