Nathan Drake is the most sadistic protagonist ever!

Let's first compare Nathan Drake to other similar characters, with a sick sense of sadism. 

Marcus also makes one-liner remarks after every Locust he kills, with the most famous being "NIIIIIICE !", and has a sniper countdown, "that's FIVE, MOTHAFUCKA!". 

But these are Locusts, not human beings. Which brings me to...

The one-liner king, he loves trash talking and murdering alien pig scumbags. And if any of the enemies were humans, he'd definitely be the most sadistic protagonist ever made. But none of them are, so he's not as sicko as Drake. 

Now, I can't include Lynch because he's not the protagonist (he will be, in Kane and Lynch 2), but Kane is no slouch in being a psychopath either. But unlike Drake, he's a complex character. He feels regret for the bad stuff he's done. He never spouts one-liners after murdering all the human cops (and civilians) he does. And he knows he's the bad guy. He knows he's a screw-up, but just wants the revenge and the job done. But still no one-liners over dead bodies. Which means, all we have left for the most sadistic videogame protagonist ever is...

Drake takes the cake. Not only does he murder humans in his games to genocide levels, that even the villain comments on, but he's spouting one-liners while he's at it. Now, there aren't many videogames with human enemies (most modern warfare franchises). But there isn't a single videogame where the protagonist gives off one-liners after killing aforementioned human enemies. 

It's not enough that he's ok with taking down human soldiers, but then he also does this with so much glee. 

Here are some of his one-liners. 

"Sorry, boys, just needed to punch your tickets!" (Locomotion)

"Someone will be along to take your drink order." (Locomotion)

"Good night, boys!" (Locomotion)

He's making jokes, over the dead bodies. But wait, he doesn't like to kill unarmed enemies (The Museum), so he's not a total sociopath. Yes, I'm making the case that just because someone makes jokes over killing humans that makes them the most sadistic person ever. You know what kind of people do that? 

*gasp*

Wait, Marcus is better because the people he's killing AREN'T human? Racist....or....what's it called when you're racist to aliens? Either way, that's cruel.

What about Rogue Warrior?

What makes Dick Marcinko from Rogue Warrior even a worse psycopath is that HE IS A REAL PERSON!!!!

Think you're forgetting The Postal Dude. No one else sets fire to and urinates on innocents whilst saying "that's the ticket".

Yeah, but doesn't being a real live asshole kind of disqualify you from a contest between fictional characters? Plus I don't think the protagonist of Rogue Warrior really deserves to hang with the likes of Drake, Marcus, and Duke.

You ever played Dungeon Keeper...or Tecmo Deception?  No?  Then you don't know sadistic that well...

Mario should definitely be on that list as well...It's one thing killing helpless, and possibly even rare endangered creatures that are going by there business from side to side...But to stomp them to death! Now that's just cruel. 
Don't even get me started on the turtle throwing.

I don't think Drake is as sadistic as the guy from Madworld. I mean, his goal is to cause painful deaths!

I seem to recall Zero Punctuation's review of Uncharted 1 was pretty much entirely about how Drake hates all non-white races and was committed to their genocide. I thought it was pretty funny, especially since I didn't even NOTICE that I was killing minority after minority while I played the game.

I thought it was interesting when at the end of the game the villain (won't try to spell) said Drake basically was sadistic, and pointed out how many men he had killed over the course of the game.   But then it just kind of moved on.  I thought it was odd to touch on that for a second and then continue like that.
