I've heard it has a really good/addicting storyline. True? Worth playing?

There are literally dozens of reviews and threads talking about this very subject. If you really want to know, it's up to you to find them and decide for yourself.

A few too many clear these guys and move forward segments but otherwise yes it's pretty damn good.

I found the game play to be kind of buggy or something. Like you would go to do a thing and it wouldn't work for some reason. And that got exasperating after a while, but other than that it's pretty cool. The story seemed pretty good to me. I think it's more of a matter of the game having a handful of really really good scenes, and the rest of it being sorta whatever. But there are a few spots in the game that are definitely worth seeing, and it's an awful pretty looking game. So worth playing for sure. Definitely worth a rental anyway.

Not at all!

You should play a real game like Ride to Hell: Retribution.

Truly the next step in narrative and gameplay.

Nah, it's shit.

The deep story telling is emotional and the motorbike sequences could well be the Citizen Kane of gaming. By the way you should also check out Motorbike for the PS3 as that truly takes gameplay to the next level.

I was gonna buy it for the PS3 because it looked interesting, gameplay wise, but I've seen so much criticism and jokes concerning the AI and gameplay balancing and mechanics all over the internet that I decided I'll pick it up a few years from now.

Apparently it is devoid of logic or realism. Sure, games seldom are logical or have actual life-like realism, but for some reason I expected Last of Us to deliver that, and it doesn't.

These two, they speak nothing but the truth.

I'm 80% finished with the game playing on hard. So far, the narrative and story is excellent. Maybe the best (definitely one of the best) I've ever experienced in a video game. However, the gameplay is not good. Broken in a lot of ways. Pretty much agree with what Vinnie has been saying. At this point I'm playing to get to the next cut scene.

Good multiplayer as well.

I can only play the game in small doses. It's absolutely beautiful, but gets boring fast, gameplay-wise.

I liked it up until the bit where you have to blow up the alien spaceship, but after that it's a piece of shit.

Eh, I have a hard time forcing myself to actually play it and the story hasn't really hit a point yet that compels me to hate my way through the game part of it. It's going to take me a while to complete that thing.

@orange:

How have I never seen you around here before? Are you like the younger good version of me?

Eh, a lot of people seem to be going nuts over the story but I'd say it's only decent, save for a few really interesting moments.

It is definitely a game worth playing through at some point, but if money is tight for you then you should skip it for now.

It's weird how nobody is talking about this game.

Oh wait...
