So I have to choose one of the two games to buy. I wanna buy the special edition of the game, but I don't want to spend money on 2. So which one would you guys rather get. Fable III or Fallout: New Vegas?
Personally, I would get Fable 3. Fable 2 was surprisingly good and I can't wait to find out how my actions changed Albion. Fallout 3 was far to buggy for me to enjoy and I doubt New Vegas will be as polished as it would need to be.
Save a lot of money by getting Fallout 3, if you don't already have it. The difference between Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas seem about the same as the difference between Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 (ie, almost the same game).
Why would you post this before either game is out? There are so many unknowns about both games at this point that basically what you are asking is "Which do you like better: Fable or Fallout?"
Fable, Obsidians last work (Alpha Protocol) was a disaster. If it turns out to be good, pick it up later, Fable is at least somewhat of a known quantity.
I'm only gonna get Fable III. Don't get me wrong, I loved Fallout 3, but after spending more than a hundred hours with it, I'm just completely burnt out on post-apocalyptic wasteland exploration.

This. Fable series has been nothing but a let down, for me anyway. Fable II are you serious? Running around in an "open world" that consisted of way too many invisible walls that you could "feel" around you all the time. Not to mention the horrible casting system, ugh - having to hold down the buttons to power up spells... and I swear there was interface lag when doing this.
So you could have what is basically Fable, re-done and re-done again until they get it right, or you can have a new Fallout game in a huge open sandbox, wait for it.... made in part by the original Black Isle guys.
New Vegas is going to be very similar to Fallout 3, and is made by a questionable developer. Except bugs, glitches and unfinished content abound. There's also inevitably going to be a GoTY version in 8 months with all the expansions for far cheaper, and by then the glitches will be sorted out.
I don't even have to think about that for more than a second. It comes as a natural reflex.
And this is coming from someone who bought their Xbox 360 console for Fable 2. I was disappointed in Fable 2 - it was a good game and all, but it felt kinda shallow, empty and didn't feel like you could do all that much in it in the end. I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but that was my overall feeling. And it didn't help that when I went to replay it a year later, an update had botched the game so my game progress wouldn't even save anymore. There were a lot of performance issues and game-breaking-glitches and Fallout 3 was really polished and felt much more full and complete, so it's an easy answer for me.
I will be getting both of course (even collector's editions of both, before any of you say I'm just "hating" fable 2), but if I could only get one it would be Fallout New Vegas.

i get the same feeling, which is why Fallout New Vegas isn't even on my radar.
