need help with ds lite and dsi

ok well im considering getting a new ds lite or dsi   
since my sister dropped it out a window 15 floors up  
but yeah i looked at the details and the only thing that is stopping me  
is the rumors of maybe getting old games on the dsi but i still need some advice

Do you want to be able to play Gameboy or Gameboy Advance games?  If so, get the DS Lite.
 
If you don't care about old games, and want access to the camera and online store, get the DSi.
