These are all original songs that he created with his son, mostly through improvisation. I'm only on the second track of the album, but I think it's really great. I thought some GB folks might be interested. Anyone else had a listen?

I just listened to it. Not all of it is incredible. The vast majority of it is good though, but the two pieces that bookend it are Carpenter at his best. Vortex could easily be part of the Big Trouble soundtrack and Night sounds like something from Prince of Darkness.

I've got a few Carpenter records already and pre-ordered this on vinyl when I heard about it. Loving these new sounds.

I saw this on the cover of Fangoria and I had no idea his music was so well-regarded. I'm checking out the album now and some of it is fantastic.
