"New Releases Super Show" vs "Professional Wednesdays"

Anyone find it funny that Giant Bomb and Gamespot are giving two different names to the same show? Kind of confusing when one group of people calls it by one name and another groupcalls it by another.

Maybe there's an in-joke I'm missing?

They should imitate the Super Mario Super Show and Ryan can be Mario and Vinny can be Luigi.

They might as well just remove all pretence and call it the Giant Bomb x Gamespot show or something. Didn't they say they won't even be covering all of the new releases anyway? How this is just another show of ''well, iunno, live-streaming video games!''. The whole pull of the show is finally getting GS and GB to collide, so they should title it as such I think.

So Gamespot calls it Professional Wednesdays? That's probably the joke, since you would think GB would call it that as a counterpoint to Unprofessional Fridays. Subverting expectations and all that.

since unprofesh. fridays seems to be a riff on the established 'casual fridays,' i'd prefer if the bomb went nuclear and came up with 'black-tie wednesdays.' ryan davis and jeff gerstmann in 3-pieces and tuxes, everyone. would be classy as FUCK.

Professional Wednesdays is pretty good. It signifies them doing their job since they play new releases. It's also a good counterpart to Unprofessional Fridays in which any thing goes. Polar opposites, but still the shenanigans we come for.

Is chat working for anyone?

I haven't seen working chat in some time now.

It's never worked for me at all since the new site launched.

On the note of GiantBomb thing-names, I kind of wish the Interview Dumptruck was like "Interview Flashbangs" or something, to relate back to that Bomb theme that basically only the TNT name has utilised.

I've seen it work intermittently. The thing at the top said 1300 people were in chat for me when I first opened the stream, but I couldn't see chat. Now it says 0. That's probably correct.

Yes. I seem to remember on the second episode there was a conversation about the name of the show. I cannot remember who mentioned what, but someone wanted to keep the show name as is, and someone wanted to call it professional Fridays because it was the opposite of Giantbombs Friday live-streams. The group joked around for a few minutes and now the show has two differing names. I wish I remember more, but I was multitasking between watching the stream and playing the Trials beta on PC.
