'new' retro style games? suggestions?

really enjoyed hotline miami and retro city rampage can anyone suggest any other games along the same line?

I can't say that I expected to see that warning from someone on this site.

But yes, The Binding of Isaac has some potentially offensive material in it just from what I know about it. I got it in an indie bundle but I have not played it yet.

As long as old school spirit is what you want and not just visuals or genre, check out Tokyo Jungle.

I've seen Legend of Grimrock compared to lots of old dungeon crawlers, I haven't played any of those old games so I can't personally compare them.

Edit: LoG is 'retro' in content/mechanics. The graphics are modern.)

I would have to say Gemini Rue is a great retro style adventure game, FTL for the strategist, and Fez for an amazing new experience
