New Suda 51 title announced AND released: Liberation Maiden - General Discussion

On the Nintendo Europe livestream (here: http://www.ustream.tv/NintendoUK) they just announced a new title from Suda 51 and Level-5 called Liberation Maiden.

Better yet, it's being released immediately after the stream has finished!

More details to come.

I don't get the love of Suda 51. People seem to like his creative ideas, but I've never seen anyone actually LIKE any of his games. I've even seen a lot of people do what seems to be so typical now, say they love the game "but it's not any fun to play".

It was an anime trailer, nothing more, the style reminded me of Ghost in the Shell. It's so exciting, I'm gonna buy it and I don't even know what it is, haha.

I'm just going to throw this out there: Killer7 was one of my favorite games of its generation. I loved its creative ideas and its combination of adventure games and shooting hit me in all the right ways.

I loved: Blood +, Contact, NMH 1 & 2, Flower, S & R, Killer 7 and Shadows of the Damned.

I'm one of those people. I love everything about his games except for playing them(Shadows of the Damned wasn't bad, but you have Shinji Mikami to thank for that probably). The point is that his games are really different. When so much of what's coming out is so heavily comparable to other things, it's nice to have people like Suda around. I really wish Grasshopper and Platinum would just merge though, that'd be amazing. Crazy, funny, games that are actually fun to play.

@JazGalaxy: Exactly. I pushed through Killer 7 because it was so quirky and cool looking, but fuck, actually playing it was total hell. Haven't had the opportunity to try any of his stuff since.

@JazGalaxy: For me, it's easier to have fun in a game when the game is having fun too. If that makes any sense. So I like a lot of his games.

Killer7 and No More Heroes are fantastic games and I enjoyed the hell out of playing them. NMH2 and Lollipop Chainsaw were also very good, albeit lesser Suda joints.

All I care about out of Guild01 is Crimson Shroud. I need a new Matsuno game NOW!
