I just noticed that there was a tab for PS4 on amazon and when I went there they already had PS4 confirmed games listed to pre-order for $100 each with PC/current gen listed at the usual price. Any ideas what's going on? Did I miss the news story about games getting a price hike? If its true then I hope PC doesn't get jacked up there too as $100 is way too much money, and if they stay at the current $50 why would anyone pay twice as much for the same game?
Next gen console games are listed as $100 on amazon already?
@epicsteve: @oscar__explosion: Why placeholder so high and not keep it as is?

Because then if people pre order and the price goes up Amazon has to give it to them at the lower price.

If people preorder at $60, and the final price ends up being higher, Amazon would have to honour the $60 price. They set the placeholder price at $100 so that can't happen.
@the_laughing_man: They do? I thought you didn't get charged until the day it ships so if the price changed it wouldn't matter. Never pre-ordered on there as their shipping is terrible and I wouldn't get the game until several days to a week after it comes out.

You cant offer a pre order and then hike the price up. Illegal big time.

If the price goes down, you get charged the lower amount. But if the price goes up, they honour the price they said.
