Nintendo has won this generation well beyond console sales.

@Scroll: Maybe because Brawl was vastly inferior to Melee?  Just a thought. : x

Yeah, that i dont agree with so much. Loved Melee, but in all aspects except for one (the stupid random character slipping) Brawl was superior.

@AgentJ: Yeah I guess it's just personal preference then, Brawl did add a heck of a lot.

I'm surprised they haven't announced a new Star fox with the current trend of rail shooters being released.

My guess is that we may see Starfox sometime after Sin and Punishment 2 comes out. they play similarly so releasing both in a similar time frame would cause both to sell fewer copies.

@AgentJ: Yeah that makes perfect sense. More sense than letting Namco make the game. Ahem.

You honestly think the "winner" is the company who sells the most, not the one with the best games?

Ahem is right. Namco has done good things, but they should stay a football field away from starfox at all times.

If you go by just sales then Nintendo probably won.

Sales? Yeah, Nintendo is winning (not won) by a longshot, but the quality of games? Nintendo is losing. I don't blame Nintendo for going after a child/mom friendly market, there is a lot of free money floating around in that particular area, but it seems they have forgotten their original audience. Nintendo are the innovators of the whole motion control movement, but the way it is currently being used by the majority of 1st and 3rd party developers on the Wii is quite the opposite of innovative. Laughable, at the most.
