Nintendo Selling Extra Cable Packs In Japan

Nintendo are due to start selling extra Wii cable packs, the cable pack will contain a composite plug, a power pack and a Wii sensor bar. It will retail at 4,200 Yen.

Seems a bit pointless. It's a slight incovenience to move a console, but certainly not to the point where i'd buy something like this. I play games in my room and i'm the only one really playing them, so for me the times where I need to move a console around are rare. Of course, in Japan people are ALWAYS bringing their Wii to the living room for grandma to play.

This reminds me a lot of ads for this cable sharing feature (they're offering the ability to pause tv in one room and hit play in another and continue the same broadcast) - who's doing this shit in every room of the house? It's just excessive.
