(there's also a link on that page to the NYT article it quotes, which you should check out also.
 
Some of these quotes are obviously meant to be kinda funny, but why is that people feel the need to talk about games as being revolutionary etc whenever a fancy new thing comes out? I don't think they did this with movies or books, at least after the initial invention. Games are games, and while they're awesome, there's no reason to read into them any more than they should be, just because they do something interesting.
