Noob PC question

I play games strictly on consoles, but I have a question about PC games. I have a Windows Vista laptop, but I want to play Company of Heroes, which says it's for Windows XP. My initial thought would be that anything designed for XP would be compatible for Vista, but I don't know. Help?

Most games install fine on Vista, if its 32bit Vista you'll have no problems. 64bit might be a little funky, you can always just google to see if people have problems.

COH shouldnt have any problems running under vista or win7. just make sure your laptop's specs are adequate.

Most XP games won't have a problem running on vista. If there is a problem, there will be a work around somewhere on the internet for you to run it.

I have a 2.0 Ghz Core Duo with 4GB of memory and a Intel X4500HD video card.  Think this will suffice?

And if you are JUST making the minimum requirements, you are most likely not going to be able to play the game.
