Novels can become scripts for Adventure Games - General Discussion

Following the success of The Walking Dead; its clear that story driven episodic TV show like games are a new frontier. Popular Novels can be a gold mine. A game based on famous fictional characters would be interesting. I would love to see one made with Edin Blyton's Famous Five or The Secret Seven (yes I know there are better stories than these; but I think they would be great as games).

Not just Adventure games, they can become scripts for other genres as well.

I feel like there's already a history for this in 80s PC games, although I imagine somebody more knowledgeable on the subject could elaborate in more detail.
