What do ye reckon? who and why?

For me, although i live in England, I think Obama is the only option. McCain to me just smells of 4 more years of Bush.

America needs more punk rockers in high political office. Biafra/MacKaye '08! Make it happen, Greens.

Okay, fine. Obama. But I'm Canadian so I don't really have much to say about this.

...sorry about Harper. Not all of us Canadians vote with their brains, it seems.

Oh, this is a good way to not start flamewars.

This thread will progress as most any other "which candidate do you like" thread--most of the posts will be for Obama and then a few McCain posts will pop up and once someone posts a strong reasoning for why they like one candidate or the other, someone else will take offense and then, "Boom," flamewar.

Come on guys, these kinds of threads never end well.

Obama because Mcain is the second bush. why would we want another bush people.

#8 Posted by MasterSplinter (636 posts) -

I think a better question is what is the over/under for how many years McCain lasts if elected?

Ron Paul

Are  you serious?  Hillary is a politician, you have no idea what Obama will do.  He may do ok but he could do something mega crazy as well, like socialized medicine.

I'm a nonvoter, so I can justify my bitching later on.

#16 Posted by Fosssil (627 posts) -

McCain, because Obama is going to raise the hell out of my taxes and has an irresponsible exit plan for the war.

#17 Posted by moolkey (25 posts) -

Neither. There both very disappointing.

#18 Posted by BoG (5187 posts) -

Frankly, I can't stand either of them. I'll be voting for Bob Barr come november. It's time to do away with the partisan system.

Wow, I think my post from last night in this thread criticizing Obama's experience and policies was actually deleted.  Either that or it was some kind of site errror, things were pretty sketchy at that time.

Guess they couldn't "Shit head"

Obama for now, unless McCain circa 2000 steps out of a hole in the time-space continuum and destroys McCain circa 2008. That might make it tougher.

RON PAUL FTW!!!!

Obama seems like he actually might make a change for our country. McCain...meh.

#27 Posted by evilhomer (429 posts) -

I like and will most certailny vote for Obama but I don't mind McCain either.

I've learned to lower my expectations with these sort of things.

He will definitely make a change... but will it be a positive one?

Obama!

#31 Posted by Hannibal (863 posts) -

Obama. I want a young guy in there. Also McCain has done the double-flip-flop going from center to right to center again in this election, which is something I don't respect. Not that I respect Obama's single flip-flop.

#32 Posted by Jotun (555 posts) -

This year I'll be voting Obama. My reasons are my own.

#33 Posted by TimeWaffle (946 posts) -

Obama by far McCain has taken billions of dollars from oil companies

How about you review this video and try to rethink the "flip flop" stuff and who has been the one doing it.

Yes so we can just continue to be ignorant sheep herded by politicians into submission. Let's just ignore everything in the world including domestic issues and scarf down KFC while watching American Idol. The best way to control a populace is through fear *cough* terrorism *cough* and ignorance.

Hope you all have watched the lates Jib-JAb mock video of this year's election. Right now im towards Obama, who has support of the crazy Jim Cramer.
