Oh my @%#$ God! - The art of swearing at the TV!

So, I've been playing Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 3 off and on all day. I need to take breaks from this game because man...sometimes it gets me fired up! Yelling at the TV almost always happens. Granted, I'm at least kind enough to NOT wear a headset so others don't have to hear my yelling but I was wondering...

Are there any games that get you fired up when you play them and get you swearing at the TV loudly like an idiot? Its the Call of Duty games for me. I love them but man...getting shot in the back 4 times in a row is a real bummer sometimes! Thoughts?

For me, swearing at my TV happens during one of several occasions. 1. I get frustrated with a game like say PLaying Gears 3 on Insane, 2. I become surprised or shocked by what I see on screen.. like Deadly Premonition

OH MY GOD. I turn into a drunken one-eyed carpenter at a gutter mouth competition in terms of swearing with this game. I'm trying to get all the medals and stars in as few playthroughs as possible so I try to get that out of the way before I progress. Man I have fun getting frustrated with that game...

Yeah, I'm doing the same thing. I've made it to the Director's Cut levels without too many problems, but now things have just gotten out of hand. It is a great game, though.

Probably BF3 really, except I act like a soldier and yell and scream to pretend teammates. I've been talking to myself recently with GTA SA though. As if I'm doing a Let's Play with nothing recording and no one watching.

My kneejerk reaction to anything unexpectedly and suddenly killing my character is to say 'WHAT THE FUCK." This happened in Dark Souls a few times. Jump scares in games like Dead Space can normally get me to flinch, but if it's a jump scare transition into sudden combat, then I typically immediately react with 'OH SHIT.'

More traditionally, if a game is actually making me angry I usually use my favorite swear- "GOD DAMMIT," as this situation is more voluntary than the other ones so I get time to choose.

Mario Kart 64 gets the most swearing out of me over any game I've ever played - like a banned episode of The Thick of It.

I usually get insanely frustrated with multiplayer shooters... All of them.

Before I stopped caring about my W/L, fighting games were the worst. But it never felt that bad, because the friend I tend to spar with is a looooooooooot angrier, even when he wins.

I'm pretty relaxed and composed when playing video games, I can tense and get frustrated but I'll only mutter to myself. No yelling or swearing.

The worst time was when I was doing Modern Warfare's No Fighting In The War Room and Mile High Club on Veteran, but I just stopped playing the game and came back around a month later and totally crushed both levels. Felt amazing.

Super Meat Boy and Punch-Out(to a lesser extent the Souls games). Pretty sure half the fucks(at least) I've said in my 20 years of being alive come from playing those 2 games. Soda Popinski even laughs when he knocks you down, what an asshole.

That has to be a phenomenon of some sort because that is so the truth. Spend hours pounding away on something getting nowhere then months later attempt it and ace it on first try then think to yourself... "Why was I stuck on this again?"

Gears 3. "BULLSHIT!" is my swear of choice for that game, because a lot of the time it is.

For me it's mostly "Oh, SHIT!" moments in games where I just yell a lot at my TV. Lots of "OOOOOOOHHHHHHH" mainly, though.

I'll also cuss out the TV if it's a really dumb news report or something.

I usually scream "WHAT THE SHIT!?" when something jumps me from behind in Skyrim and whacks my health down a bunch.

Very, very rarely. Most of the time it happens though is usually either because I'm playing some game on the hardest difficulty and I'm at a really dumb part where the last checkpoint makes you sit through more stuff than you really should have to sit through to try a part again, but even that is a rare occurrence. That's about the only time a game really starts getting at me badly enough to cause me to get really, thoroughly pissed off to the point of uncontrollable swearing.

Trackmania 2, whenever I fuck up I start cursing like a Sailor or if some german guy manages to get some fucking absurd time that is practically unbeatable.

I verbally abused my 3DS while playing the bullshit Mario Kart 7 singleplayer. God damn cheating rubber-banding little fucks.

Motherfucking League Of Legends. Every time I fuck something up. It's scary how much that game gets to me.

I've been raging quite hard with Batman: Arkham Asylum, especially in some of the largest fights and, above all, enemies with guns. Ugh.

I never end up shouting at my TV when playing games, but on the rare occasion I'll tell the TV to fuck off. That actually happened today when I was playing Saint's Row. Probably the most frustrating part of that game is when you're trying to do the escort missions and the characters you're trying to escort won't get into the damn car. I haven't encountered anything that angering in a while.

For sure. The only real downside about the game. Luckily through some miracle from above I managed to get through all the snatch and escort side missions with little to no retrying. I was dreading that. Snatch is the WORST.

Whoops, my bad, I was thinking of Snatch, not Escort. I wouldn't say that's the only downside to the game but it's maddening when you've got about 7 cars full of guys shooting at you and your people can't find the car door or are still finishing up their cowering animation. They also don't seem to know any better than to stand directly in front of attacking gang members and I can't use any of my weapons which set enemies on fire because they'll get caught in the fire as well.

for me it was trafficing endless waves of enemies made some of the later one annoying that a zimos getting knocked down

I used to do this when playing some of the older Sonic games. Oddly though, I did not resolve to this while playing Sonic 2006.

With Trafficking and Escort I learned at a certain point you just have to kind of get in the car and go even if you're completely surrounded. Fortunately Zimos seems much smarter about getting to the car than the people in Escort but it can be a little frustrating. When I did that Escort mission with Pierce in the campaign I had serious trouble getting him into a car and at one point during the gunfight he just span around in circles. The worst part though has got to be when one of the brutes comes along and just starts knocking your car over or away from Zimos.

Call of Duty makes me scream at the tv a lot, to the point that I don't play it anymore

usually that just like what the hell im not pissed though usually the only thing angers is a stupidly hard game ninja gaidne for example

or teammate who dont help you at all

Dungeons of Dredmor I got to level 10 and died, I had the perfect set up, It was the highest level I ever got to and I only play on medium. I rage quit in Tribes Acsend when the team I join sucks and never tries to get the flag. I use the juggernaut and protect the generator in capture the flag, so I know it's not my fault.

I'm useally very patient, I may loose a mission 10+ times and not swear.

Um... what are those anime pictures, and are the girls jerks or are YOU the jerk for making the main character a jerk. I am confused.

A blurry memory from last weekend is me screaming at the monitor. I don't remember what game I was playing, I assume it was CS:S or TF2. My voice was not too loud I guess because no one said anything to me.

Fighting games make me rage more than anything else. I don't know why. It's so bad that I don't play that type of game at all anymore. When I play Super meat boy I can lose 100 times in a row and still be happy playing it. The first time I get an uppercut from Sub-zero I lose my shit.

But back to the topic. I got quite a few of anger related moments right now.

One of which right now is that one of my friends isn't teleporting/helping me in the nether in minecraft, I have no food and am at 3 hearts, and ghasts always see me... basically, it'll be a rescure mission for me. Although I did get pissed.

About a week before christmas. I had to defeat this fucker...

...errrr... sorry about that... I still have flashbacks to this asshats cheapness.

Also, the metro map in BF3 pisses me off immensely, ever since the beta, it was always a terrible map, and I even made a joke about it because of how bad the beta was and the overall map was. "THE MEMORIES!!!! THEY ARE COMING BAAAAACK!!!!"

We laugh... but seriously, fuck that map.

Also... instant kills and FPS online games overall... dammit... so much rage... so, so much rage!

I don't do it all the time but sometimes a game just rubs me the wrong way with a death or dumb moment. At that point I think my eyes just glaze over and my brain just lets loose with things like, "Fucking cunting dicks streaming shit out of my arsehole cunt."

Just a terrible, barely cohesive stream of obscenities that I hope I don't say too loudly when it does happen...
