And I thought it was a dead series. I still need to beat 4 and 5...

Wierd, I was looking into this series earlier. I always loved the concept of the series (a Wild West jRPG) but never got into but looks like the only one of a current system is Wild Arms XF which is a strategy RPG (diffrent from a turn based jRPG of the others as far as I know) since the original isnt on the EU PSN as far as Im aware. Though since they all take in place in diffrent universes (like FF) apparently then I might have to keep an eye on 6, or maybe just keep an eye on Amazon for a cheap copy of 1-5 or Alter Code:F.

Well I'll be damned!  My friend Max will be very excited to hear this!  Did they announce what system it's for?

I still need to play 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Alter Code F, and XF. Wow, that's embarrassing, especially since I can get the first two easily.

OK, then, I'll just play the original. Hell, the games already have great music.

My favorite JRPG franchise.
I'm glad its still going, its just a bummer that it'll be PS3 exclusive or worse yet a PSP game.
Also, has the guy who wrote that article ever even played a WA game? How can the game "most likely play like 1-5 when 5 plays nothing like one? Seriously, save your genius editorial insights, random game blog I never heard of.

Its for PS3 I think. Cross your fingers for PS2 still. Already having Wild ARMs 3,4,5 on PS2 is good enough for me. And by the way, the Wild ARMs series is something I love more than FInal Fantasy or Persona. Cause damnit, Nothing beats KNIGHT BLAZER.

Plus I absolutely love the summons.

Edit: They all take place on Filgaia, just in different times I guess.

I don't know that that's true. WA5 had a pretty intricate back history that was nothing like 4's intricate back history. "Filgaia" is "wild west land" basically, there's no narrative string holding the games together.
