If the Team Ico games are his touchstones, then I'd be very interested in something he's put his stamp on.

With his artistic mind, I can see Shadow of the Colossus being a very legit movie. I am very upset about The Hobbit, nothing he could really do though...

On the one hand, he made Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy II, both of which were great.

On the other, Ico is one of his two favorite games, and while he certainly knows how to make movies, he is now making a game.

I don't give a fuck about this dude. William Gibson and Ridley Scott should team up and make a kickass cyberpunk game.

 Who?  That guy that made Hellboy 2?  That movie was decent at best.  So he's overrated because a bunch of kids like his movies?  Makes sense, in a weird internet sort of way.
 
Thank god his lame ass got kicked off The Hobbit movies!  Great Zombie Jesus, he would have made one of the greatest fantasy stories ever, into Harry Potter.   
 
  Sounds like a big step down for a Hollywood director.   But maybe video games are a great place for his pansy vampire elf things.  Oh wait... He just stole those from WoW.

It seems promising, but I just hope it won't some game about exploding blocks!
