First and foremost, I'm an recovering online gaming addict and that shit last maybe 30 minutes out of rehab. Seriously, online gaming is a huge part of gaming and most of you gaming heads - probably wouldn't look twice at a game if there wasn't a sign of multiplayer included. I've played a ton of multiplayer games and my favorite ones thus far are: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Gears of War, Battlefield: Bad Company, Halo 3 and Team Fortress 2.
I must say out of all of those I've mentioned - Team Fortress 2 has to be the most under appreciated.
Online Gaming
my favorites are cs 1.6, ut3, and halo 3. theyre the only games i keep going back to. i also really liked cod 4, wow, and tf2, but for some reason theyre hard to get back into.
I didn't really like Team Fortress 2. I stopped playing COD4 for the same reason I stopped playing Halo 3 until I realized the MLG playlist was there.
I hate radars, I think it's the worst thing to be in a multiplayer game. All people do is camp and wait until someone shows up on the radar.
Even aside from radars, each game has flaws which make me not really take them serious at all. I alternate on a weekly basis of what to play.
"lol you do realize that on halo 3 if you walk you don't show up on the radar??? and anyway i have never had a problem with campers in halo 3 so frankly idk what you're on about..I didn't really like Team Fortress 2. MAG - Massive Action Game is another multiplayer game that looks like it has great potential. The game is being develop by Zipper Interactive the developer behind the upcoming tactical shooter SOCOM: Confrontation.
I'm not much of an online gamer. If I do play online it's likely because of achievements or some of my friends wanting me to tag along.
I'm not a huge online multiplayer gamer, but I was addicted to Halo 3's online, and I am now addicted to Team Fortress 2.
"Team Fortress 2 may be the best online shooter I've ever played. What do you mean, it's not an MMO? A game doesn't have to be an MMORPG to have addictive online gameplay. They're many people who listed long gaming sprees based off - Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Warhawk, Team Fortress 2, Battlefield: Bad Company... etc.
By the way, how the heck do you get addicted? It's not even an MMO!
It's fun and all, but even I get tired after sinking hours on it."

"Team Fortress 2 may be the best online shooter I've ever played. There are tons of ppl that play FPS's for hours on end. I use to play CS for like 6 hours a day every day for months. Hell half of that time was sunk into one map. (Dust...) There are many ways to make it diferent every round. Take a sniper rifle and hang back, or get a Uzi and run rush, take the M60 and laydown cover fire.

"xruntime said:I tried CS 1.6 a while ago. Every round was identical. People buy the same weapons. People camp in the same spots. There's some variety, but its not that much."Team Fortress 2 may be the best online shooter I've ever played. There are tons of ppl that play FPS's for hours on end. Be real its not identical. Each player does something different each round. There is no way they do the exact same thing otherwise they would be robots not humans. You can't buy the same guns if you loss a few rounds. Your in the poor house and have to by a Deagle from time to time or skip out on the nads. You also can't by the better weapons when you first start off it takes at least 2 rounds to get enough to buy the AR or the AK.
