Thoughts and prayers to you and yours Patrick. =(
Patrick Appreciation Thread
Patrick, you're an awesome duder. And your father probably was an awesome duder as well. My condolences. I really hope that the support from the community is helping you in any way possible.
Is there a place that lists all the "Worth Reading" articles? I've been wanting to revisit something I found in one of them, but I've been having trouble finding it again.
@Humanity: Twitter's a good outlet if you're a person with a following of generally normal or well-natured people.
At least his dad knew for sure Patrick was gonna get hitched, unlike a lot of our fathers.
Make your progenitors proud, ladies and gentlemen. You'll never know when you won't be able to talk to them again, ask them for advice, poke 'em in the ribs over stupid things, eat Chicago-style whatever together...
I don't know what religion you subscribe to, Tricky, but He'll be at your wedding in some way. Count on it.
This makes me really sad. I could always tell by the way Patrick talked about his father on the podcast a few times that they were close. Considering how close I am to Patricks age and my father to his father's age, I really really feel for him. Much love, chin up, cherish the memories and never forget.
I'm so sorry Patrick. You're a fantastic member of the GB staff, and your father must have been extremely proud of you. You and I are very close to the same age, and I'm getting married in a month, so I understand how hard this must be for you now. Nothing any of us can say will make it better, but just know that we all are thinking about you.
I may rip on Patrick a bit on Quick Looks or whatever, but I'd never wish something like this upon him. I'm really sorry to hear about his loss and hope he finds the strength to make it through. I wish nothing but the best for he and his family and, being the same age as him, take his advice to heart.
