" @brandoncooper17: Console games have genres other than FPS and strategy. Just saying. "That's crazy because so does PC.
Really then why is it all top selling games on consoles are all fps" @brandoncooper17: Console games have genres other than FPS and strategy. Just saying. "
suck on that fanboy
and pc is best for fps,rts and rpg thoese are best genres any way.
PC gaming isn't dead because a single game's community met a goal sooner than the console communities?
I don't think PC gaming is dead, but this argument isn't a great one.
" And here I was ready to say troll harder. "i hope this teaches you to take it easy with the troll calls cuz you guys always jump the gun and throw the forbidden T word around like free candy!
All this proves is that consoles have a bunch of people that mindlessly charge each other and get 1 kill 1 death and couldnt care less about team actions.
The "PC Gaming Is Dead" myth is spread largely by certain interested business parties who WISH it was true. They would rather you bought all your games for a locked down piece of hardware with a locked down, single distribution channel. If the PC option didn't exist in the marketplace you have no idea how hard they'd give it to us. The fact that the PC Option exists means they have to hold back on the rampant customer abuse, price hikes, and even more ridiculous terms in the EULAs.
I guess what I'm saying is, even if you are a rabid console fanboy, you should praise your lucky stars PC gaming isn't dead.

They starting counting AFTER the 3 days PC got it, meaning on the 22nd." Im not saying PC gaming is dead, in fact I advocate the opposite but this isn't a great example considering they got it 3 days before consoles and some unsavoury types got it before that. "

pc gaming is not dead. steam is the pure proof of this. They have a business model that not only circumvents the used market, but brings more to the table than any other service including xbox live. DRM that actually satisfies customers. I know I am, besides why the fuck would I buy an xbox360 game when I can get it on sale for 5 bucks on steam instead of 30 or 40 buck on xbox.
There are bigger online communities on counterstrike source than modern warfare 2 at this point. There are pc games with staying power while most games communities on xbox live are dead within the first year. the only exceptions have been games like halo and somewhat call of duty, though those aren't exactly common

Who even says "PC GAMING IS DEAD" these days? PC gaming is alive and having a damn good time of late.
It seems like the only people who keep bringing it it up are the PC Elite. And they only do that so they can batter a straw man around for a bit and call it a victory over the unwashed console hordes.

And dont you think they are loosing money when they release a game for 5 bucks on sale?
Im pretty sure when world of warcraft makes 120,000,000 each and every month still from its 8 million subscribers kkinda makes more money than blops can :P
For anything other than indie or strategy games... it's dead for me. There's just no reason to use a PC when I have a lovely couch and a huge screen for playing shooters and racers and other similar kinda games. There's also too many buttons on a keyboard for my small console minded brain. Seriously, I already had enough trouble learning Final Cut and Photoshop shortcuts, now my entire Starcraft game is reliant on me memorizing more? Ugh it hurts my head and I'll never exit bronze league.
" @warxsnake: Ah ok, that makes sense, sorry about that misinformed statement. Still dont think this is a great example though. "Yeah I agree anyway.
To me, those stats prove something else; players on PC teambased games (TF2, BFBC2, etc) are way better teammates and more cooperative than their console counterparts.
I've heard so many stories from my console buddies playing BFBC2Vietnam; how they often run out of ammo, yelling at their assault and medic teammates to help them. Until now on PC, I've never run out of ammo, theres always about 5 medkits and ammo boxes per square inch all over the map.
Lets say 400 people buy the game on sale. Thats 1400 more dollars in sales they wouldnt have seen otherwise. It also look better on a quarterly report when games that have stopped selling copies for the majority sell a decent amount in a sale period. More money given to them from older investments. It works for alot of people who design work.
OP has made some of the most singularly retarded posts I've seen on this forum in addition to acting like a child. Let this thread sink into the depths.
