Persona 3 Portable Question

In Persona 3 Portable, when you and your party can split up to explore a tower floor more quickly, do your team mates still gain experience when they have battle encounters on their own? Iam talking about your team-mates, not your personae

Yes, they do gain the experience. However, I never personally employed this tactic and kept my party together as often as possible.

Yes they do, but it doesn't seem like they get as much. At the very least, you don't get to do the card game thing after each battle where you might get the bonus exp cards, which are pretty key to leveling up faster.

This. Generally you don't want to leave your party members the chance to get themselves killed and the xp from solo fighting is not worth the bother if one dies.
