Toaster Strudel because I am not an animal.

Strudel or Die motherfucker.

Cold.

#4 Posted by Oscar__Explosion (2239 posts) -

I'll do hot or cold, but I prefer warm.

#5 Posted by Blu3V3nom07 (4191 posts) -

Hot. Cold is no way to live.

#6 Edited by Demoskinos (14751 posts) -

Hot, Cold whatever I can get man. I'm just a pop-tarts slut.

#7 Posted by THRICE_604 (210 posts) -

Hot because I am not a savage.

Actually better yet who is out in the wild microwaving pop tarts? They are the animals. Had someone give me one a few years ago microwaved and I was borderline angry with her for doing that to me. It was no joke one of the weirdest food experiences of my life. Weirder than being served with no warning whatsoever a baby squid in a cereal bowl while in a little mountain town in Japan. The microwave fucks up a Pop Tart that badly.

@thrice_604: I need to try that, just to know your pain..

I bet Patrick fucking grills his!. That sounds pretty good, actually.. Indoor grill.

Toasted and ready to go.

#10 Posted by Stonyman65 (2669 posts) -

Cold. Never really liked the taste/consistency of them toasted.

Toaster Strudels are pretty good, but I don't think you can really compare them to Pop-Tarts since those are frozen and Pop-Tarts aren't.

#11 Edited by CircleNine (381 posts) -

I don't eat poison and hate fun but if you're not even going to bother sticking them in the toaster for a minute before you shove it into your face I don't even know.

#12 Posted by CaLe (3954 posts) -

Can't believe some people prefer them cold. Can't even believe it.

@stonyman65: Toaster strudels are definitely better than Pop Tarts, they are close enough in concept for comparison. But it takes longer to make them. If I'm a position to be making pop tarts I'm obviously not up to the task of making a toaster strudel. Especially because my toaster under cooks them with one cycle but burns them with two so I have to time hitting the cancel button just right to make them. And yes my space toaster has a cancel button.

Hot, always hot. Are you one of those animals who also eats cold wieners!?

#15 Posted by TheCreamFilling (1225 posts) -

They give you cancer.

Word. I know how that is LOL.

I agree that Toaster Strudels are better, but like you said, you're probably eating pop tarts because you don't want to deal with all that.

#17 Posted by ajamafalous (11957 posts) -

I can get down with either. I honestly haven't toasted any poptarts in probably close to a decade, but it's not because I don't like them; I just don't have the time. Usually when I'm eating a poptart it's because I need to eat something on the way out the door.

#18 Posted by Reisz (1481 posts) -

I'm a veritable Pop tart whore, I'll take it any way I can get it, hot, cold, on the floor of a Motel 6, you name it.

#19 Posted by ssj4raditz (1125 posts) -

Either/or, they're fine with me. There's also certain flavors that are great frozen.

#20 Posted by awesomeusername (4173 posts) -

Poptart's hot or cold. Also eat toaster strudel.

#21 Posted by StarvingGamer (8134 posts) -

They taste better warm but I'm usually too lazy and just eat them at room temperature.

#22 Edited by CrusNR (19 posts) -

Cold as in room temp/straight from the package?

If so, then my answer is neither. Over the past few years I've grown to love frozen Poptarts. Of course that's not to say I would turn down a room temp or hot Poptart if one was offered.

#23 Posted by crusader8463 (14419 posts) -

I like the chocolate ones the best as cold but can't stand the fruit ones cold. Them I like hot. Any of them are fine at room temperature.

#24 Posted by Cerberus3Dog (330 posts) -

I consider hot pop tarts to be a luxury. Just to remind me of the good things in life.

#25 Edited by DaemonBlack (342 posts) -

I love me a hot chocolate fudge pop tart. Then dip that bad boy in milk? Best breakfast ever.

For the record I think all cold pop tarts are gross.

this except often times I'll cook them in the toaster then forget about them so they are room temperature.

#27 Posted by Portis (1287 posts) -

Neither. Pop Tarts are fucking disgusting, you may as well eat jelly sandwiched between two pieces of dog shit that were rolled in sugar and sprinkles.

#28 Posted by Dalai (7017 posts) -

It's like pizza. Temperature isn't an issue.

#29 Edited by Turtlebird95 (2360 posts) -

I completely forgot toasting Pop-Tarts was a thing. I've always ate them cold and forever will.

Also, Toaster Strudels are a million times better than Pop-Tarts.

#30 Edited by Clonedzero (4200 posts) -

Hot is better. But if i'm so lazy that im resorting to eating poptarts, then my lazy ass isn't going to heat them up. If im gonna put effort into heating them up i might as well have something better than poptarts.

#31 Posted by TyCobb (1966 posts) -

Purely depends on what flavors of Pop-Tarts are around. The cinnamon ones are great either way. S'mores should be heated. Fruit-filled can probably go either way, but it has probably been about 20 years since I ate a fruit-filled Pop-Tart so not sure. I just remember the Blueberry ones would give me massive stomach pains so I stopped eating the fruit-filled ones.

#32 Posted by ManiacalMech (59 posts) -

I used to be an exclusively hot Pop Tarts guy, but then I ended up getting really lazy all the time and started eating it raw. Like its some sort of salmon. Both types are fine, though.

#33 Posted by SgtSphynx (1350 posts) -

Most pop tarts I've eaten were from MREs, and those I ate cold. I will eat them either way though.

#34 Posted by OneKillWonder_ (1725 posts) -

I don't eat them cold, as I don't think anyone does. Room temperature is fine with me. Calling it "cold" bothers me, almost as much as "cold" cereal.

In most of my Pop-Tart-eating situations, a toaster isn't readily available to me, so I usually don't have a choice. I may toast them given the option, but I eat them so rarely that it doesn't really make a difference to me.

#35 Posted by Icicle7x3 (1178 posts) -

Hot is an extra step im not willing to take. Just get the pop tart in my body and lets move on.

You put room temperature milk in your cereal?

#37 Edited by HaltIamReptar (2029 posts) -

In college, cold pop tarts were the only thing that were really available to me. Some people lived off of ramen noodles, I lived off of pop tarts. I can't eat warm or hot pop tarts. It just feels weird.

#38 Posted by Shirogane (3568 posts) -

Man, i'm getting de ja vu, i remember this exact question being asked a while back.

Hot of course, or well, warm more like. Then again, it's usually pretty cold when i'm eating them so i'd like some hot/warm food.

#39 Posted by beard_of_zeus (1683 posts) -

Yup, the hot fudge sundae flavor is pretty awesome straight out of the freezer. Ice cream on top is optional.

#40 Posted by ArbitraryWater (11613 posts) -

Both, though I'm also partial to frozen Pop Tarts.

However, if given a choice between the dry crumbliness of a poptart and the flaky fillingness of a toaster strudel, I will pick the latter every single time. However, since Toaster Strudels require toasting, they aren't the best "Oh shit! I overslept and have class in 15 minutes!" kind of breakfast.

#41 Posted by Ben_H (3338 posts) -

Either way is good. Toaster strudel also is a strong argument. I haven't had those in years.

#42 Posted by lightsoda (540 posts) -

Never seen a pop tart in my life.

#43 Posted by EXTomar (4665 posts) -

To me it seems like it depends on the flavor. For instance chocolate seems to be warm while strawberry is cold.

#44 Edited by Soapy86 (2620 posts) -

Cold. I don't have time to heat stuff up!

No, many people refer to cereal as "cold" when they eat it without milk for whatever reason.

Eh, most people call it cold because it isn't hot cereal (cream of wheat, oatmeal). I call it cold cereal.

#47 Posted by The_Hiro_Abides (1260 posts) -

@onekillwonder_:

I used to eat Pop Tarts exclusively after toasting them in a toaster however I've been converted to eat them straight from the fridge. Strawberry and cherry pop tarts taste amazing that way. Also the crust is a lot more tolerable that way.

#48 Posted by Hitchenson (4682 posts) -

Hot because I'm not a fucking barbarian.

#49 Posted by audioBusting (1503 posts) -

I've never tried one.

Where is the option for "where I live we don't even have pop-tarts"?
