I thought it looked a tad bit better than Left 4 Dead 2. That is to say, it looks good, but it still looks like Source.

With every game released, the Source engine has upgraded in some way. Since Portal, there have been two, full-fledged Valve titles on the Source engine, so it's seen a fair amount of improvement.

It seems to be sporting steam engine, but it is much improved obviously. It's going to be a day one purchase for sure.

It does look great.  The new puzzles look crazy as well.  I saw a brief clip on G4 with some mind bending things.  Hopefully they won't be totally impossible.  But Valve is really good and introducing new mechanics and concepts so hopefully I will be able to wrap my head around those new puzzles.
