Possible to edit blog or do you have to recopy every word?

I was trying to make some edits to a blog I posted the other day, but 'edit' takes me to an empty box and 'full edit' takes me board associations. It's been a while since my last blog so I didn't realize things had been changed. I just want to add a few points without breaking the entire thing. Am I being simple and missing something?
