Precursor Games developer arrested

So this is kind of disturbing and not at all the PR that Precursor games needs right now with Dennis Dyack actually doing some pretty good mending of fences in recent weeks. Full report is on Kotaku.

That is really unfortunate to hear. Yikes. It is to be noted that Precursor games is trying to distance themselves as far away from Mr. McCulloch as much as they can as he is no longer affiliated with the studio.

He is apparently being charged with one count each of Accessing, possessing and probably most disturbing making the pornography. So Yikes....this is all sorts of messed up.

Jeez.. Fucking stumbling blocks for Dyack and team.. I wonder if mobs of people are going to pull money from that KickStarter now.

It's worth noting that the report says he made child porn available, not that he actually made it. It could mean he was just posting images and videos on...child porn forums or something.

Something's a little fishy, the police report says they seized a significant number of computers but he is only being charged with one count of each? So it basically sounds like out of all his computers they found one pic. Also, of course no mention of age of the victim just the sensationalist post of CHILD PORN, when this could be 1 picture of an ex girlfriend when they were 17.

the cops tracked him down as a result of a large investigation into online child porn, I doubt they're arresting him for having pics of a past girlfriend.

Especially if he was distributing and sharing.

From the location and crime description it is probably a torrent, and probably Japanese animated porn. He probably didn't even know it was illegal.
