@Kidavenger: They have said time and time again that they won't do anything mainstream while it's recent.
Predictions: The first post pax endurance run of 2011.
How about Pathologic? It's fairly old, supposedly bizarre ('twas developed by the team behind Cargo: The Quest for Gravity), and has that favorable combination of obscurity and critical/art-house acclaim. I've never played it myself, but from what I've read it might fit the ER profile.

Personally, I'd love it if they imported Xenoblade Chronicles and surprised the shit out of people :)
I actually think this would work really well, I just started playing the game myself and there were some moments where I could just picture Vinny and Jeff's commentary. I daresay that between its length and the hoops they'd need to jump through in order to play it would be prohibitive, however. I can't see them doing another Endurance Run near the length of Persona 4. But yeah, I think that game would be total Endurance Run fodder if they were interested in it, it has the right mix of quality, personality and general internet intrigue.

Dave & Vinny endure Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
This would also be pretty great.

Yakuza is really the only ER candidate I can see; that or Disgaea, although they haven't shown any interest in that as far as I've seen.
maybe it should be some weirdo eastern european game, like the Precursors or White Gold or w/e.
That'd be way cool by me.

If it has to be an older game, I wouldn't mind seeing Nier or maybe even Final Fantasy 13.
@Mystyr_E I would be so down with that. I was so into that game when I was like 9 and that game has some really dumb stuff in it.

Oregon Trail through the ages. Don't know how they will capture from an Apple II, no doubt they have top men on it.
You can run the Apple II version in Java, so no biggie.
I just really hope Brad's not playing.. Nothing against him, but, man, watching him during the Deadly Premonition ER was incredibly painful. Not just because he wasn't particularly great at it or anything, but he was so completely uninterested in being there to play the game and got angry at the game so easily and quickly that it just easily ruined the mood of what should have been a rather fun/good time. He can be involved with it, I just don't want him to be the one that's playing.

@MattyFTM said:I think the exact quote was: "Some guys want to do one, so they're going to do one." Worded like this, Jeff could very well be a part of it, but I don't think he will.and basically said "some of the guys wanted to do one, so they're doing it". Those aren't exact quotes, I can't be bothered to find the exact question.
He's just being cagey, I'm quite certain that he'll be in it. Remember his reaction to the announcement at PAX? He was clearly jokey about it. Feigning displeasure at the thought of it. He'll be a part of it.
I would think that the whole point would be to highlight a more obscure game that was not played by a large audiance. That makes me think maybe Yakuza, one of those games that everyone says they would like to play but never get around to. Or something that we probably havent heard of (think Dark Star One quick look)
I think they'll play Pariah and Hybrid Heaven. If they don't, Jeff won't want to be in it.
