The nearest Apple store is like a 1 hour drive from my house. However a best buy is like 15 minutes away.  What's the difference. Is the 3 year extended warranty the same at both retailers? Are they more polite at the apple store? do they give you free stickers???

You get to pay a lot of money for a white computer? Fuck if I know, maybe one of the Apple specialists will give you a "good game" butt slap.

You can buy applecare from Apple online no matter where you purchase the actual computer from. I'd suggest buying the computer online like others so you can get what you want from it. Personally buy the base model and upgrade the RAM and HDD yourself; just decide on the CPU speed you want/need. I'd also buy it online cause the Apple Store is always crowded as hell and full of retards that don't need a Mac. Also you can check NewEgg as well, they often sell em a few bucks cheaper and free ship and tax free (in most states), TekServe also sells older models, but not sure if they do online (they are located in Manhattan);  http://www.tekserve.com/
