PS3 patch sizes

Anyone know why the PS3 system/game patch sizes are about 50 times bigger than the 360?  Applying a PS3 patch usually means playing my 360 for a half an hour or so until it's done.

It takes you half an hour to patch a PS3 game?  Jeez, what are you playing?
 
360 Title updates have to be less then 4mbs, as demanded by Microsoft.  Most of the time patches just contain bug fixes, and coding changes.  So i honestly don't know why PS3 patches are so huge.

no normal it take a max of 5 minutes to patch a ps3 game unless your playing burnout paradise that has like 40 patches

I've never patched a game for more than 5 minutes. 
Even the Firmware updates takes less than 5 minutes o.O 
  
Half an hour? Is your PS3 like really restricted on the network? 
Like Nat 3 and everything, or are you just lying? o.O 
 
I've never heard anyone say that it takes 30 minutes to patch a game on the PS3 untill now of course. 
Ever thought about maybe upgrading your internet or something like that, get a better connection?  
Get rid of the 56/k :P

The firmware updates might take 30 minutes because you're downloading an entire OS and reinstalling it. It would probably take you about the same if you were installing an OS on your PC.
