PS3 start up issue

Greetings fellow bombers, 
 
Question.  My PS3, 80 GB model, will not turn on.  I tried with both the controller and the button on the console and all I get is the basic start up of the fan, the beep noise, and the light turning from red to teal.  a few seconds later the fan stops, I get mutiple beeps and the light flashes red consistantly.  The controller also has all 4 lights blinking on and off.  Am I screwed or is this an easy fix.

@Shard: I'm sorry to inform you that your PS3 might be broken. Of course, I could be wrong.

They call it Yellow Light of Death (YLOD) and trying to fix it by yourself is a pain.

Best way is to call Sony and they will seen you a box and you ship it(I hope your warranty is still valid)

That happened to my fat PS3 after 4 years of running and I just got a new slim one.

It's a definite YLOD. You might as well buy a new one.

I had YLOD and Sony fixed it for me. Of course, my PS3 was under warranty at the time, is yours still?
